It was from this work, that I developed my training stages: Strength - Functionality - Longevity. The stages allow me to work with people wherever they are at and to break down any goal into a phases.

Focus on Stabilising, Strengthening and Awareness. This is the key starting point. Without basic strength in all your key areas and balanced strength across your joints you will not be as efficient. Plus you will open yourself up to possible injury.
Take that strength and make it Functional to your daily life and goals. Run a marathon, climb a mountain or pick up your grandchildren. Functional strength means you work optimally in your environment.
Now your body is strong and functional, add in the understanding about details like: optimising mitochondria, sleep patterns, food intolerances + nutrition, optimal recovery, prevention of environmental toxins
Once you have worked through all these stages you are on your way to balancing your health span and your lifespan in a holistic way. The journey continues but now you have all the skills to apply them your way.
